I dont think so. Is there a place to watch the auction live, now that internet bidding is closed?

Yes, if you log into coins.ha.com and go to the catalog link, http://coins.ha.com/common/auction/...?SaleNo=1184, you will see the Live Auction Bid Now button. It will launch a separate window. The lot number is 4153. Edit: according to the site, that will part of the lots that start being auctioned at 5 pm 7pm Central Time. They start with lot 4100 so it will be earlier rather than later.

I had the wrong start time. It is 7 pm Central Time - which makes more sense because people who can afford it wouldn't be logged in at 5 pm .

Explain to me why, if you had that kind of money to spend, you would pre-bid. Does anyone really think that there is a chance no one will show up for the live bidding. Would anyone just throw down a 2.2 mil bid, because they have someplace else to be during the live auction ?

Possibly they wanted to "get in the game" and say they placed bid on the historic coin.

Kelly you were right on both times. Or wrong. The first page shows 7pm and the page launched when I click on the live bid button says 5 pm with a timer counting down to 5 pm! Meaning 27 mins from now!
Definetly looked up the wrong lot number, which is why it said 5pm

Actually, the coin is in Session 5. Session 4, which starts in 25 minutes is the time I picked up since it was immediately above session 5. I wish I could watch session 4 since I have some things on my watch list there as well. I love putting these high ticket items on my watch list - I never bid but it is fun to dream.

Right I did the same thing. It is fun to dream. While looking at the libk about the 1882 Liberty Nickel(which I didnt know about either), I see the the census line at the bottom. Maybe someone can help me understand it. It reads: Census: 1 in 66, 0 finer (3/13). I understand the 0 finer and the one in 66 means its one of 66 known examples, I assume. So what does the (3/13) mean?

Watching Heritage Live now, first time I've seen a big auction with the video feed. Very exciting! Maybe I should 'Disable Live Bidding' to safeguard against temporary insanity

Would be awesome to see somebody accidentally hit a live bid on the liberty @ 3-4 million. I also just disabled my bidding.
