Fun thread based on the lat penny roll selling for $600+ on ebay. I'm sure most of us would spend our money on other things.

So, assuming you have $500 to spend on a single coin (no bills, or other numismatic items) What would you buy?

Me:

An EF Double Tournois :) Always wanted one

I would try to get a 1946 NF five cent. I don't know that $500 would cut it, but it would be in the ballpark.

Five $100 dollar bills, which would then be used to purchase the equivalent amount in silver maple leaf coins.

I would have to shoot myself if I spent that much on one coin.

haha SPP I like your answer, I was about to post something similar, but in the form of just one coin. Perhaps one of the sovereigns, or $5 gold coins.

the 1947 ML is a beautiful coin, good choice
Rest in Peace

Assuming I must keep to Canadian Coins:
A decent example of the gold coins from the early teens.
Or am I dreaming?
