I was going through my change checking dates and stuff. I found a 1986 p quarter with VS & BS stamped into the coin.

Is it of value, or did someone just deface it?

It worth 25 cents. Someone might have done it for fun.

I counterstamp most American coins I get in change with an A and then release them into the wild. Let me know if you find any :P

Nalaberong - thats a great idea! you should get a proper punch which is more than an A. A Monogram or something.

Someone professing their love for their sweetheart in coin form is my guess. Definitely not worth any more than face value.
