to the community I'm sorry to say but this coin is a fake. I have not seen a Byzantine coin with the that type of obverse.

I know she looks good, but be honest, it can be preserved in very good conditions... I'm in, there is not any coin with this character on obverse [it would be unbeliveble rare]? I don't put your knowledge on doubt, but, I have just 1 and this is fake? :) thanks for 'ur opinions...

I'm not an expert on Byzantine coins, but I have been collecting them long enough to have seen most types. The obverse style of your coin is something that is not seen on Byzantine coinage. The legend is also very odd and makes no sense to me. There are also many fake ancient coins being made in eastern Europe and sold to unsuspecting collectors, some even being made in real gold and silver.

Just seeing it set off alarm bells for me - take a look at other byzantine pieces. The ancient coins have a certain quality to them which you'll pick up if you look at enough examples.

Oke, thank you all for your time and amability; I'm a happy possessor of a veritable fake. My lucky I have just one :))

It is a modern fake. Don't hold out hope it is rare. It is just fake.
