I've heard that after Kennedy's assassination, certain people drilled holes through the heads of their new 1964 halves for reasons of poor taste. However, I haven't found any pictures of these halves - all I've seen are typical necklace/pendant holes, and now I'm curious if this "variety" of PMD really exists. Does anyone own or have pictures of a Kennedy half with a hole put right through the head?

Short answer is no. I've never heard of this, but I'm sure there are a few people with a warped sense of humor. Why would this interest you? Lincoln was also assasinated with a shot in the head, is he immune from this?

I may be an Aussie but JFK was a great American and an all round decent Bloke.
Anyone doing this to his effigy needs a hole in their head

You can be saying no, but how can you know? Do you know how many rednecks the USA has? So lets say only 1000 1964 Kennedy's had holes drilled into there head. Now look at that number, it's 1000. So this means it's very rare to find one.

I don't own one but I did hear of something like this long ago. Back around 8 years ago.

VERY easily... I have never seen one, nor heard of this practice. Saying "no" was the answer to the easiest question I got today... ")

No. However as a Southerner, I'm well aware of the term and how it is applied. Some day I'll tell you a couple of nice stories about "Bluenecks".... the Northern variety of the genus (A grouping of organisms having common characteristics distinct from those of other such groupings).

So, relating to your census of Rednecks there is a slight confusion of association. I was not aware that 'Rednecks' were drilling holes into Kennedy half dollars. Can you clarify how you came upon this knowledge?
