BHM 1804 by Barber, 34mm, for Victoria's 1838 Coronation. Rather than ink a number in the fields,
someone carefully added an ID number of some sort on tape along the edge of this medal.

Has anyone come across this sort of thing before?

Reminds me of something a museum would do, but I've not seen it before.

I've been collecting Canadian medals for a while, but these are gorgeous. Not being familiar with them as much, what is the BHM reference?

BHM = British Historical Medals:

And yes, somewhere a museum is missing that medal.
