Not sure. Both sections of the OBV look like the rim has also been affected by the anomaly. This leads me to believe it could be PMD. With that being said...I have a US cent that has a large struck through area that also affects a large section of its rim that was identified by Mike Diamond as a Major Struck Through. It does not appear to be a planchet flaw or lamination.
The REV looks like damage from a coin counter or auto wrapper.
