I found this at the thrift store awhile ago. Someone has made a pendant out of it, the silver around the sides is not original. Was going to wear/sell it as jewelry but curious what it is!
There doesn't appear to be any numbers or easily distinguishable language/symbols that I am familiar with... just geometric patterns. I think it is copper but not sure. 0.75 inch diameter. It looks.... old?
hmm interesting. I did a little research and the designs look similar to those found on indo sassian coins, so how do you differentiate between a real coin and a fantasy piece? what would be the purpose of this sort of fantasy coin in the first place, and when was it likely made?
i am not a collector and have zero knowledge of coin-related stuffs but it is neat to learn :)
