I like them, and they they are beautiful, but I personally wouldn't collect NCLT. Much of what I have bought in the past lost more than half its value on the secondary market.

I understand because the issue prices of the Canadian coins are very high compared to the scarcity

here are a couple I have. These were just impulse buys. I agree the NCLT coins are a poor investment.

chrycopaul, I hear what you're saying.. Most NCLT make terrible investments. It appears only the higher-end NCLT with very limited mintages and very popular NCLT issues that have succumbed to short-term speculation (if you are willing to take that kind of risk) seem to make any sort of appreciable return. Buy NCLT if you really like the design, otherwise, the money can be better spent elsewhere. There's just too many NCLT products out there. Anyhow, that's my attitude towards this debacle. BTW that's a nice looking coin, spica. What does the obverse look like? I think not that the queen would have a big gaping square hole in her cheek!

spica, that's a good looking coin! Only thing I would change is replace the blocky chinese characters with a more stylized calligraphy.

Can you post a pic of the other side of the second one? Thats pretty interesting. Is there something painted on the metal, or is the metal holographic?
If I could afford them, I'd buy lots of Canadian NCLTs. I like the odd denominations like that 8 dollar coin, and I think a 3 cent silver coin.

Here is the 3 cent. Gold plated over Sterling Silver. This one I bought because I liked the subject matter. The 150th anniversary of Canadas first stamp, the 3 penny beaver.
