But it appears that you are noticing closely. So when the right coin comes under your glass you will spot it. The eyes go through a period of not seeing anything (which your past) and eventually get to the point of seeing or looking to hard for something that is not there on that coin. You are at that point now. I have a lot of RPMs that I was searching when I was at your level that are too minor. I have rolls of these, but I still keep them. So when the right coin comes under your glass, you are there to spot it. When you do find the doubled die, it leaps out at you and you know it instantly, you found something.

When I first started searching for varieties, I started saving wear and tear on coins. I had two 3 ring binders of books of normal wear and tear. Now when I see this stuff I put it back in circulation. I realize now that I was putting coins away that are worth one cent and spending a nickel for the 2X2's. Live and learn.
