Looks perfectly fine to me. Coins of that calibre very rarely come onto the British market, that is possibly why it looks off to some. I love coins of this period and have quite a good collection, some passed down to me and the tone on this particular coin looks fine. It's fully consistent, totally even and with a little imagination I can see it sitting in a nice red velvet coin pouch many years ago in some old guys prized collection. Nice coin, good price, gorgeous tone - top buy.
You will never soar like an eagle if you hang around with turkeys.....
