It appears plated. See the undertype area near the scraping. Silver plated fake but probably late 19thC?

I don't know. Looks like a BB-185 to me, so would have to be an awfully nice die transfer forgery, then coincidentally made into a love token? I think you may just be seeing an artifact of the soldering.
