Hello. Here is 1838 LC, which I bought for 46$. In my opinion it is VF35-XF40 coin, problem free. I don't know why last digit in date is so weak, especially at photo. Also, reverse rims looks pretty weak. What do you think about my new coin? Thank you for all answers.

OK Liberty shows nicely but such a weak strike. I would think less than F value.

I think your grade estimate is pretty accurate. Strike is a bit weak. Some minor rim issues also. Price paid is not bad IMHO

VF is a stretch with that weak strike and worn date. F-15?

VF30 LDS. Net grade VF20 for rim dings and scratches on reverse. Appears to be N-7 which is known for missing bottom curl and weak to non existent 8 in it's later die state.

VF-35 for wear. Lots of hair detail and a full ear and hair curl above it.
