Hang on to any of the new Missouri Quarters. If you have them, they may be worth much more than 25 cents
The US Mint announced today that it is recalling all of the Missouri quarters that are part of its program featuring quarters from each state. This action is being taken after numerous reports that the new quarters will not work in parking meters, toll booths, vending machines, pay phones or any other coin operated devices. The problem lies in the unique design of the Missouri quarter, which was designed by a team of Ozark specialists.

Apparently, the duct tape holding the two dimes and the nickel together keeps jamming up the machines

I haven't read anything about this specific coin, but tales could be true. I work at a large apartment community. We use coin-op washers and dryers. There ARE some State Quarters that jam the machines. We started having this problem about 2 yrs ago, so it very well COULD be the Missouri quarter that's responsible. Next time one jams, I'll find out what type of quarter was being used.

No,no,no,no, it is not the Missouri quarter, that just has an Easter basket handle instead of the Arch. It was the Arkansas quarter that was recalled
Rest in Peace

This reminds me of the test my class was given back in grade school.
The teacher said before starting the test read ALL the instructions first and then follow them. The maximum amount of time is 1 hour to complete 100 questions. BEGIN
The instruction were as follows:
This is your final test of the year. Please put your name on the top of the page turn the test over and walk out of the class room silently and enjoy your spare.I was the first to leave, within 5 minutes 2 more, and then another 2-3 more. Over 90 percent of the class spent the 60 min period writing the test. Get the point!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

It was funny when it was done for the PA quarter but it got a bit dull by the time it was told for the SC, GA, TN, KY, IN, MI, AR, LA, MS, IL, OH, and most of the other states as well.

Frankly what I found much more original was the fake Press Release shortly after the MA quarter was released announcing its recall due to complaints by the anti-gun lobby over the depiction of the Minuteman holding a rifle on the coin.
