Hello members,

I have this coin which I believe to be a Far 6 1926 Canadian Nickel. I am wondering what the expertise of the forum has to say? I have had three brief opinions of this 1) local coin exchange says it is and offered a fair but well below retail value if it is. 2) A friend of mine who lives 3000 miles away (and has been dealing with collectables for 30 plus years)says it is, the grade is what it is and if he were listing it would be asking at least $150 and 3) the travelling thief show - supposed numismatic experts who are, in reality, in town to buy silver for spot price or less even though they say they will pay more than dealers. This guy couldn't determine whether it was or wasn't a Far 6 and because it has slight staining wouldn't make an offer. I have included scanned pictures of the coin, any input is appreciated.

Hello Wert,

Thanks for the response. Yes, I am a little disappointed in the pictures, I was told that scanning them would give a good reference but not really. Any suggestions on how to take a really good picture of it? I checked your link and have checked other sites and it appears to me (again, not an expert) that it is a Far 6.
