Generally dealers will pay a few percent under spot.

On ebay they would command a nice premium. 2-5 dollars over spot depending on the market pressures.

For the old pour JM and Engelhard bars ?

I have seen these go for 50% and !00% premium. These bars are very popular and in demand. Some people are willing to pay double spot for these.

there are no premiums on silver bars...
Only a premium when you buy them from a dealer. "This is an OLD silver bar"
Bullcarp...

Silver bullion is silver bullion, it's worth spot + if you are a dealer, spot - if you are a consumer.

Don't fall into the trap that people tell you. silver bars are silver bars period...

The only caveat is that if it has something famous attached to it. Part of a famous shipwreck or something. And then only with provenance.
Again, bullion is bullion period.

Your opinion, clearly ........you do not understand the silver bar market and should not be telling people as such that their semi valuable bars are only worth scrap. A 1998 matte finish Kennedy is just worth $3.13 for .15oz of silver, an 1893S Morgan is just 3/4oz of silver and worth only $16.36 Baseball cards are just ink and paper.

There is a big segment of collectors who collect old pour Engelhards and assorted 1oz art bars the same as low mintage and rare coins. and are willing to pay for special and limited editions.

No offense, but please don't give your opinion of what people should be paying for these as FACT as to what these are worth. There is a significant collectors market for these.

I know that there is a collectors market for these bars. I'm just not sure what the price is over spot for each bar. Thanks so far!

There are bullion bars and coins, and it seems that a collector bullion market for bars and coins is evident as well.

Like coins of numismatic value, it seems to be wise to learn at least something about the collector bullion market, to at least gain some understanding of any premiums above spot.

Check out ebay and other outlets. As I have said, I have seen these old pour bars go for double spot ( just Engelhard and JM)and specific limited edition 1oz art bars go for over $100 at auction.

Find me a 1oz Coca Cola 75th Anniversary art bar for under $50, some go for over $100. And like the the collectors that pay $120 for a 1998 matte proof Kennedy, these are not all just "suckers" paying over spot for common bullion

The Engelhard's appear to be Third series. Mintage is 25,000. Info at http://www.allengelhard.com . The bottom bar is an Imperial Smelting and Refining Co. of Canada Ltd. bar. Not sure of rarity, but the first 4 usually carry a few dollars over spot. They're not really the rare type. Both companies are very popular, ebay will likely serve you well. Truly it is all about what it's worth to the next person. All of them are only worth what someone else will give you for them.

Silver Handle is right about the Engelhard, 3rd series 20oz, last one to sell on ebay went for $661
There are some on there right now asking between $849 and $1100
Real value? I would say somewhere between $650 and $800

Cant help with the others

^ This is just ridiculous. Of course there is a market and (significant) premium on some bars. 4 and 7 oz Engelhards sell on the order of thousands of dollars. . . I'd love to be the sucker to pay a 20% premium for one of them.

As for the question at hand. . . a fair premium on the 20 oz is probably 40-50%. I'd buy as many as possible at a 20% markup! The 10 oz poured JM wouldn't be as high. . . maybe 20% give or take. Not really sure on the 5 oz JM. It's sealed, which will appeal to JM collectors. Perhaps similar to the 10 oz poured JM (~20%). Really no clue on the last one.
