I have finally acquired the final piece to my Crusty Capped Bust Dime Poverty Date Set. This set consists of one VG-VF crusty CB10c from each year issued 1809-1837. This set is well matched and took appox. four years to complete.

Now that I am done acquiring these, I would encourage any lost numismatic souls to pursue this series as it offers diverse collecting options. One can collect by date, Date and JR-#, or by a single year and the JR's within that year. There are also several opportunities to construct a series by die state.

Below is the gracious collector's/seller's photo. I will continue to document and photograph the final pieces and they will then be sent off to auction and to a few fellow collectors. I will be keeping all of the over-dates from the series (1811/9, 1823/2, 1824/2, and 1830/29)(and the 1822 b/c they virtually never come to market) and begin a new project consisting of only over-dates from each denomination of the Capped Bust Series (CBH10c, CB10c, CB25c, and CB50c).

Awesome Job Benji! That's some real dedication...unlike me with too many irons in the fire and am all over the place in this hobby!

P.S. Be sure to include me in the "fellow collectors" category when the time comes!

Very nice coin with unique toning! I think that capped bust dimes will take off in price, (much like CBH and quarters). You've got a collection that you enjoy, and should work out to a nice investment to boot!

Congrats Benji! That's a spectacular accomplishment. Are you planning on collecting by JR #, or is this it for you?

Nice coin, I like it. Congrads on completing your set. Now you HAVE to post the whole set here on CC.
