First off, it's "Apollo 11", not "Apollo II". And I assume you're talking about one of
these. They were apparently given out to workers at companies that helped make components for the mission. They are not made of gold, but something much more historically significant, if not more valuable: leftover metal from the making of the spaceships themselves. Lots of companies helped make the Apollo missions and lots and lots of people would have been entitled to be given one, so the mintage is fairly large; there are several of them on various auction websites, such as
this one they're starting the bidding at $50 with. Whether or not is actually sells at that price, we'll have to wait and see.
