Hey everyone, someone was talking about their boxing medal in the exo forum and it got me thinking, boxing has been around since ancient Greece.

Who here has boxing coins/stories? The only one I have (that I can think of) is the 50P 2012 Olympic coin. Since boxing was in the original Olympics there must be thousands of coins/ trade dollars/ medals that feature boxing stuff

Who here has some boxing stuff that they want to post or folk life they want to share? Coins used as Eye Irons? Good luck coins used by famous boxers? Mohammed Ali's gold medal story?

Come on everybody, get sharing!

Thank you so much YoshiRules. That is the one! My aunt won a trip to the 2012 games with Visa Card and both of us where giving a 300 pound pre-loaded visa gift card. I picked up the set at the games.

Did they make any at the Atlanta Olympics? I know Montreal had non-circulating silver 5 dollar boxing coins as well.

Anybody own an ancient Greece coin?

The Conder token series has several tokens devoted to boxing themes. This halfpenny token features Daniel Mendoza, British champion 1792-95.
