I am looking for advice on a coin I was just offered. The coin is an 1883 type 3 Indian Princess Gold Dollar. The coin is graded MS 67 by PCGS and has a green CAC sticker. The image is posted below. It is difficult to see in the image, but the gold has a slight rose color to it and the luster is spectacular.

The seller is asking $5750. Does anyone have experience with this type of coin? Would you pay this amount? What would you pay?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Wayne

That's a bit high for a MS-67, although the coin is very nice. Based on auction results, ~$4000 would be a fair price, maybe go up to $4500 if you really want it.

Too high. $5000 is pretty much the maximum price you should pay for it.
