A finest known example of any coin catches my attention, even if it's outside my collecting interests. I spotted this piece at a local show and thought I'd share it with my Canadian colleagues. A 1949 A To Denticle in ICCS MS-66 Red. To maintain anonymity and conform to the rules I've removed from the image the dealer's notes.

What do you think? How challenging is it to come across a small cent in this level of preservation, let alone a key variety? How do you think this coin would do in an auction setting?

I suspect in the right auction the bids will be north of 2 grand.

Must be a recent ICCS certification?
I dont see it listed in the 2014 population report...as in there are none in MS66...

I don't think it is the solo highest graded...

I received an email earlier this month from Hugh Powell (Newcan Coins & Currency)- he also has one for sale in the same grade (ICCS MS-66), but he said it was only 90% red...

I found one of these while searching cents in Michigan. Brown of course but still was a nice score.
