I was at my coin shop the other day and the dealer showed me an 1832 capped bust half dollar dime with a doubled reverse. I didnt look at it very well because I was in a hurry, I'm no expert but at a glance id say it was in atleast f - vf condition. He offered it to me(and I'm sure I heard him right) for 50 dollars but I had to decline because I had already met my "limit". Next time I go in I plan on buying it if he still has it what do you think?

If I get to it before someone else I show you guys pictures

$50 seems like a great price for any problem free F-VF CBH10c. I hope it's still there for you. I have only seen few busts with doubling on reverses and they were all on CB10c.

I agree, $50 is s good price for such a coin. Here is one w/o doubling you could use as an example to compare against.

For $50, I'm a bit skeptical that it's original and problem free. At the shop, tilt the coin under a light and slowly turn it around and look at it through a loupe. That crusty coin may have some nasty hairlines, and this quick test will reveal most of them.

IMO, Cleaned(I am assuming it is) or not if it has some doubling on reverse it would be worth $50+.

Oh no Frank, I just have a few as type examples. Both Bust and Seated examples. This Half Dime was actually listed as a Half Dollar and I think I ended up paying XF money for it so the lady didn't really loose out on the auction. I explained it was miss-listed to her but she let it run.

Take Care
