Name That Coin! South India Chola Empire, Maybe?

j_hewes Valued Member United States 52 Posts	Posted 12/08/2014 11:12 pm Hi, Just bought a copper coin and the dealer admits he has no idea what it is. I see the Octopus Man on the obverse, which reminds me of coins from the Rajaraja Chola dynasty in southern India c. 1000 AD. The other side (reverse?) doesn't look familiar to me at all though.
