I'm in. My kids get a mint set every year for Christmas (whether they want it or not!).

Looks like I am going to have to get them in order to have a "COMPLETE" set of Presidential $1 for this year. They are going to have the first "Satin Finish" Presidential dollars according to Coin World's front page this week. So chalk me up for 2 to add to my 2 Silver Proof Sets, and my 2 each President rolls of both Ps & Ds!

I have to. It is now a sort of tradition that every year at Christmas I give one Uncirc set, one proof set and a copy of the Red Book to between 10 to 15 individuals. It has varied as people move away or new ones are born.

I subscribe for the unc sets only -- they send them and charge my credit card, and then I'm done. I started getting these mint sets several years ago with the intention of busting them out to put into my collection individually, but once they arrive I cannot bring myself to cut into the celophane. Am I chicken-livered, or am I a preservationist? Jan

I ordered mine as well as the silver proof sets that I was waiting to buy to save on shipping. Jan, I open a set to fill albums but by the time the Mint puts the sets out I have already bought most of what I need. I end up with the extras in flips. The Mint set is a pretty good deal this year at only $10 over face. I like the new packaging also.
Thanks,
Jim

Both. Sounds like you need to buy two sets - one for each half.
I sort of do that every time I buy a MS coin: I also have to buy a cheaper one to put my fingers on.

""I open a set to fill albums but by the time the Mint puts the sets out I have already bought most of what I need."" Yes, Jim. Through the miracle of generosity at the hands of Thingee and ElleKitty, I now have all the 2007s I need, so the unc set will stay intact for some the future generations the deal with. And I am also impressed with the price, considering there are 8 nmore dollars in there. Jan
