I was just curious what everyone's goals were for buying coins for this year.

I'm going to try to complete my Mercury dimes except for teh 1916-D, and I'm going to try to complete my Buffalo nickels.

Has anyone here bought the 2007 proof set (Clad or Silver)?

Got a few more to go for my Mercury dimes (got the 16-D) but have recently been distracted by a 7070. I started the 7070 to help regain some focus. I found myself just buying stuff that I liked with no aim or direction. My thoughts were that the 7070 would be fun and improve my overall knowledge of US coins.

I guess I'm going to try to add to my bust half set, maybe aim to complete a date set since I'm only missing the later, cheaper dates anyways. I'm probably going to casually add to my fledgling toned roosie collection.

I want to finish my Lincoln roll collection (circulated) except for the key dates. Am a few coins short of finishing off the 40's and 50's, got a good percentage of the teens-30's done also. I also want to finish off my BU roll collection 50's-present. I also want to finish off my proof's, need the 1950 and 1936. Maybe get a couple more matte proofs (that is wishful thinking) I better get a few more jobs, dreaming is nice though!

During the last 90 days of 2007, I plan on searching through the bag of 4000 Buffalo nickels I bought from this dealer. We'll see what I get. I'll roll and sell the no dates and keep all of the full horns.

Hours of fun this winter ....lol.

I bought them for $.20 each so I might find some keepers and turn a profit in the process.

Hi once again,

Just wanted to clarify something. When someone says "date set" does this mean they are trying to get all years and mint marks for a certian type of coin?

Also, I may begin a Dansco 7070 set. I'm not sure right now though because I would still like to complete a few albums first and do a little upgrading. Plus, I don't have the type of money to buy gold coins.

I am working on paying for my Emergency Room bills and then start on my Lincoln Album. I just got a used Dansco Album on craigslist for $5 yesterday. I am about half way done with my Roosevelt Album, thanks to a bulk purchase from Garylcsr.
