1999 5 Cent On Dime Planchette Value ?

A friend of mine has this coin wich he actually got as as change at a local store.. anyway, he does not collect coins, and I am more into ancient coins than modern...and not error coins at all.

what I think this is, ( as I have never seen one) is a 1999 nickle struck on a dime planchette

anyway to make a long story short, he would like to know if this coin has any value as he intends to sell it

Yes, it has value, my educated guess would be (if genuine) $150-225. It would probably sell better in a graded holder by one of the major grading/authentication services.

the edge is not readed, and it weight 0.1 grams more than a dime ( can't get more accurate )

The last one I bought was very similar and I think I paid around 120 I also bought a 10 cent struck on a cent planchet nGC MS64 and I think that one was around $120 cdn as well

225 usd is the main price I have seen for this type of error.....you should get it graded from a rep grad company..

my offer is 225 if you want to sell it..lol
keep it for a few years and see if the value/demand for it goes up...
