hi,

collecting 5 cent canadian pieces can be very rewarding....

your hardest pieces will be 1985 large date and most of all the coveted 1921 where only 400 approx are still in existance.......the mule vareities will be challenging as well as patterns if your going to go that route.....

if you require any info on 5 cent pieces please send me a note as I hold one of the largest collections of varieity and erros 5 cent pieces.....dan

oops, my first boo-boo...

its 1875 large date and not 1985(duh) which will be the hardest along with the 1921.......

and then there is also the 51 hi relief whcih could run you 700 and the 53nsf mule which could be over 1000....but each of these easy to get(if you have the $)

gosd, Dan, thank you for posting that link! I, too am very new to Canadian coins, and intend to keep an interest in the area. I constantly get Canadian coins in rolls, and have quite a few on hand, cents mostly. Being a variety collector, (US cents), the link you provided will be of great help. I have already put it on my tool bar! Tha additional info, will be handy, for the asking of questions, which you so graciously offered. Thank you.
Dick
