This AE2 dropped through the letter box today. I have looked at all the online sites that I know of and I can't find a reference. It is Antioch and there is no cross in the left field. I can't figure out whether he is holding a standard or a laburnum. Coin is 24mm 4.42g.

My RIC X is 1994 and as far as I can see there is only one entry for an AE2 and it is Constantinople and although it is GLORIA ROMANORVM the description is different. So I am confused. I don't have RIC IV.

I found one on Cerberus coins, they don't have a reference either, perhaps it is unlisted.

I think that obverse legend has a mistake too...
I read: "D.N. ARCAD-IVS F.P. AVG" instead of "D.N. ARCAD-IVS P.F. AVG"...

Interesting coin to see the PF reversed on the obverse legend. It looks like he is holding a Laburnum.

With or without the cross it is still RIC 41a, bust type is what distinguishes it from being 41b
