Well, I got this in change a few weeks ago. (I've been lazy and finally did a bunch of photographing over the holiday.) The images don't do justice with what I'm trying to show but hopefully you'll get the point. What exactly would cause what's below the leaf. It's actually a very crisp line and doesn't look like a scratch.

Aaah... I see what your talking about Mag, however I dont have an answer for this question. But I will say, IMHO, it is the ugliest Statehood Quarter ......and its from my state

Looks more like a few bagmarks. Damage from other coins from what I see.
