Hi everyone I recently came across a 1943 Mercury dime that has the I in Liberty totally missing is this a common error. And if possible how would it affect the price of the dime?

to CCF. Sounds like a Grease Filled Die or just damage. I photo would help. If it is a filled die it would not be worth much of a premium but more than just the silver value.

to CCF!

I agree that it sounds like a Grease Filled Die, but I would love to see photos!

IGWT letters are also affected. Seems to fit the Grease Filled Die issue and result.

Awesome find! I'm sure error collectors would pay extra for it...

Just another L berty coin.
Just kidding. It is exactly that, a greased filled die and usually error collectors would pay decent for that. Nothing really great but for sure worth a few dollars more than just a Mercury dime.

Honestly, the coin doesn't look genuine to me. I hope I'm wrong! Does it pass the magnet test? Hopefully I'm just being negative...
