Hi everyone I recently came across a 1943 Mercury dime that has the I in Liberty totally missing is this a common error. And if possible how would it affect the price of the dime?
to CCF. Sounds like a Grease Filled Die or just damage. I photo would help. If it is a filled die it would not be worth much of a premium but more than just the silver value. John1
Just another L berty coin. Just kidding. It is exactly that, a greased filled die and usually error collectors would pay decent for that. Nothing really great but for sure worth a few dollars more than just a Mercury dime.
