I found this 1990 penny that is chameleon like color. Could anyone tell my what it is and if it is added value? And if this is one of those 1990 no S rare coins. Thanks

The no S is a proof coin, the pic looks like a business strike.

Business strikes from Philadelphia don't have mint marks. If you look through some rolls, you're sure to find a bunch of 1990 no S cents. The Proof cents are the rare ones. Proof is a type of coin, not a grade. It doesn't matter what color or how nice looking a business strike is, it will never be a Proof coin.
The color is just toning. Lincoln cents can turn all sorts of pretty colors, but it doesn't add anything to their value.

Cents made after 1982 are coated in pure copper, which is very reactive. Anything can tone a modern cent, but if your coin is extremely colorful, it may have been treated to tone it. Most commonly and cheaply, this is done by washing a cent in very soapy water and then holding it over a candle.

Not all 1982 cents are coated. But it doesn't matter . Anyway it's not a proof coin it is a business strike from philidelphia. So it has no mint mark and was made like that. I ts worth a penny

The name your searching for is 1990P. The P mint mark is not used on Lincoln cents.

By calling it a 1990 "no S" you're confusing people because that coin is actually a proof (of quite some value) and that's the official name for that variety. You have a regular, old 1990P Lincoln Cent there.

The place you would find the No S coins is in 1990 Proof Sets where the quarter, half, dime and nickel all have the S mint mark, and then a few of them, very few, had the penny with no S.

I have come across dozens of 1990 mint proof sets and every one of them has had the s on the penny. it is very unlikely you would find one in circulation (out in the while)
