I have 3 that aren't on hand for me to post. They are all Canadian. Two are 2014 Lunars and a 2015 $100 coin. I used to raise Arabian horses. So I've decided to start a horse sub themed collection. I hope members will post images of horse coins, with date and country. This will give me ideas for coins to collect!

This is a good start, I really like the 2012 dollar, nice horse head portrait. Many horse coins I've seen murder the fine details. The $100 Canadian horse coin is a very course image. are they circulating in the states.

I hear tell horse design coins are very popular. It'll be interesting to see how this thread plays out. I have a kilo horse I'll post when I get a second

The Nevada State Quarter has horses running in the open expanse which imho is one of the best of the original designs by far. The Wyoming quarter also has one, a bucking bronco with rider

JD nice coins, I will need to look for those. I like your wifes horse, someone else that rides English. I switched from Western five yrs after dislocated my shoulder lifting the Western saddle, I was 15. Surgery was unsuccessful, so at 53 it still dislocates, but I can pop it back in. Here's a photo of my Arab girl back in the nineties. I truly miss riding, this gal was great to ride bareback, with no bridle!! So I figure the next best thing is to get a herd of horse coins. I forgot about the Canadian $5 coin which is very nice, along with the sovereigns.

Other than British sovereigns, this is one of the very few coins I have that features a horse: Poland / Lithuania -- 1549 1/2 grosz:
