We bought some new curtains recently (where else -ebay) for our spare bedroom. The other day a storm was blowing up and, when I went in to close the window, I got clouted on the head by a curtain! Here is what we found had been inserted in the hems as weights; All English pennies. The 1967 ones are all quite good condition -the others are very (and I mean VERY) worn. Anyway, first person who wants them and will pay the postage cost can have them. cheers Jeff ***Edited by Forum Dad to move to Giveaway Forum***

No you don't. Stick some washers in your curtains.

50¢ regular or $3.20 registered to postcode 3141. Hardly worth the bother to do a transaction. Maybe we should just say you owe me 50¢ for now, cheers Jeff

As my mother used to say "First in, best dressed". And, no, I don't fully understand it either.

Perhaps, instead of owing me 50¢, you could post me a coin. Everyone loves a surprise.

I did some work for a customer lately and he showed me his penny and ha'penny collections -one of each complete, including 1930 penny and 1923 ½P and another set missing just one coin each. [No prizes for guessing which ones missing in second sets.] Probably helps that he started about 50 years ago And he also showed me his several mint bundles of very first $1.00 notes I was suitably impressed.

My wife was rather interested to see how quick the pennies went. Now she has just brought in a tin of assorteds -mostly pre-decimals and foreign. God knows wher she got them from. Anyway, keep an eye for my next week ebay listings; should have some rather good condition pennies and half pennies.  {I've just doubled my Fijian collection.}
