I broke down and traded a few of my coins for a Dansco 8100 for Lincoln Cents. I'm really excited. Looking forward to filling this book from now and years to come. Makes me glad I kept my 1909 VBD and didn't sell it. Of course no one here in the house understands my excitment.

That may be true, but we on the forum understand, and wish you luck, finding the key and all the rest. Good hunting, and filling!

Good luck with the hunt! :) I'm having a blast filling my 8100 up. I'd suggest talking with ducky1100, he'll hook you up nicely.

LOL

I think everyone here will know what you're talking about. I'm sure we've all seen that look from our family/co-workers/etc when we get wound up about something like that and they wonder if we've finally lost it enough to make a call.

HI!
I also am addicted to Lincolns. Could I ask about what it runs to get a Dansco lincoln album (1909 to 2009 or beyond)--I have seen them about $25 on line and then theres shipping. It's So much fun--but my friends don't get it--YET! I have been telling them how much a 1909VDB S sells for and then the twinkle comes into their eyes and then they start checking every penny they see or find. The old saying about if a penny is heads down don't pick it up because it's bad luck doesn't ride here.

Well the local dealer I bought mine from cost me $36. I traded for most of that price with coins I didn't want to hang on to. Mainly littleton sets. My next purchase is going to be the slip cover to go with the book.

Hello, my name is Jim and I am a Lincoln-holic. I admit that I am powerless over Lincolns, and I need help. I too have been working on a Lincoln set, but I have the Dansco 7103 for the early dates and a Whitman 9141 for the memorials.

Yes we all realize the excitement of a new Album of almost any kind. And it is becoming more and more apparent everyone is impressed with Dansco. Of course they do look impressive on a book shelf, constructed very well, larger in height and depth over Whitman and many others. However, I am a Whitman user and would rather just go with the cheaper, less impressive Dansco Albums.
Still any album FULL of Lincon Cents is impressive so keep on collecting.

Well I went with the dansco for several reasons. Cost wasn't really a factor. I like the fact I can see the reverse of the coin. Then the extra protection of the plastic. Overall I bought it for the few extras that the Whitman albums don't have and paid the price. A full Album your right Carl is impressive dosen't matter if it's a whitman dansco or a 3 ring full of plastic sheets loaded with flips.

amac44 we could probabbly have daily meetings but I think it would just make us all worse lol

I understand that it can be worse than drugs. First it is a few Lincolns, then you try 3CNs, and before you know it you have a full blown Morgan addiction. Then you have to start trying to clean-up, and just when you think you have it licked, the "Dark Side" starts calling.
AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaa
