As I changed the format, I await feedback from GoldenChest, SteveInTampa and jim61 on their thoughts of where the missing 274 overprint errors may reside (my opinion is below)..

Since starting my Census on Natick and Web Press Errors, a few more serial number charts were required for the series 1977A Natick overprint on back errors when newly confirmed errors were noted for sheet numbers 19659 & 19677..

When I had publicly stated both here on CCF and other sites, that I was deleting the following 3 Serials from Bart's Natick Error Census (3rd Edition) the following; E78879760H (sheet #39760), E78879666H (sheet #39666) and E78879670H (sheet #39670), I would have to show cause for doing so as all 3 serials are off by 20,000 sheets from confirmed errors..

The 3 Natick E-H Block Runs consisted of 40,000 sheets per Run, and COPE assigned serial number charts would be required for RUN 62, showing CONFIRMED overprint on back errors, that now show 30 Errors from a span of 19 Sheets (quadrants 3&4) starting with sheet #19659, and currently ending with sheet #19677 (as lower or higher numbers are confirmed, new charts will be added)..

After starting my Census of errors, GoldenChest has started his Gilbert & Natick Census, only his is a complete Census with both errors and non-error notes.. Both GoldenChest and myself have since learned jim61 (Jim Hatch) has started his Census long before us, and also shared his census with both of us.. Jim's work has almost tripled my error note count from 12 notes to 30 notes and expanded the charts required from 17 to 19..

My census is for error notes only, and unless any errors are reported for series 1963 C-A Block (Gilbert Paper) notes, my focus will continue with Natick & Web overprint errors..

I also decided to change the chart layout to make it a little less confusing, and to make it a bit more interesting, report confirmed errors from each COPE Plate Position (A3 to H4) 100 Note Bank Pack (16 total), as I believe 1 or more Original Bank Packs may be in a private collection or held by some Bank Official when the errors were discovered (and not known at the time it was Test Notes)..

Since the skip-numbering per plate position is 40K, One 100 Note Bank Pack would reside in every 400 Bank Packs, or 40 (1,000 note) Bricks, times 16 Plate positions..

My work below is available to anyone wanting to use it for educational purposes, and since I'm known for making a mistake every now & then, please advise should one (or more) be found on my posts..

*I honestly believe that one or more of the following 5 Bank Packs with no confirmed overprint error notes, A3,C3,H3,D4 and G4 may be in someones advanced collection/collections, or it may be possible that those error notes were removed, and replaced with Natick Star (replacement) Notes as 256,000 E-* Notes had been printed the same month as the E-H Block..

There would be One 100 (error) Note Bank Pack in every 40 Bricks of 1,000 Notes (10 Bank Packs)..

For jim61 & GoldenChest to ponder; Could it have been possible that the Bureau of Engraving & Printing printed a small number of Gilbert Star Notes to replace any damaged notes located in the Gilbert 640,000 C-A note run, and not record the serials...

Excellent post Vernon.

Seeing that value (price) is determined by supply and demand, how would the value change if an original bank pack surfaced ?

It would be a game changer..

I would love to know if any of the 5 unconfirmed sheets were replaced with Stars..

I've been in Numismatics some 50 years, and it seems that every 20 years or so, a unknown Numismatic Hoard comes to market..

I have to believe Banker's have the Best Errors..

Excellent info BrokenCoin. Very well put together. I'd say there is a decent chance of a hoard surfacing. Bankers and others clearly noticed some of the notes and saved them, hence the high number of gem examples today. It only makes sense that there are still others waiting to be found, probally held by someone who knew first hand about the Naticks before they left the BEP.

It had taken me almost 14 years to locate one example each of the A-F & G-P web errors..
My next quest is to follow my gut and try to locate one of the 5 Natick Bank Packs..

We can add the 31st serial number E78859669H to this census, as it was just listed 2 days ago on ebay - (PMG-64) and seller has a opening bid of $2,100.00 (overpriced IMO)..

E78859601H - E78859700H (Bank Pack D3)

E78859669H (error)- added 06/05/16
