How many of you have their State Quarter sets up to date? Both P and D.

I'm thinking about taking my set apart and spending them on real coins.

I inherited most of these and have a complete sets. When reason hits, I'd like to par it down to completed sets of P/D, Proof & Silver Proof locked away (no decision yet on albums or mint packaging). I like the idea and hope the mint comes up with another series of equal interest (State Capitols, Endangered Species, historic US Automobiles - some of my suggestions).

doesn't the mint already do what you're suggesting? I think they call them commemoratives

I'm still looking for a few of the newer Denver coins. I have all the P's (not including 2008) and have the D's up until 2003 with only a handful after that. It's not to often I find newer D's when it comes to State Quarters. Its wierd though--I have no problem at all finding 2003+ D pennies, nickels, dimes but no quarters. hmmmm I have no plans on buying them, I'll just be patient and enjoy the hunt while I can! --Gary

Before I got serious about coin collecting my grandpa gave me a State Quarter folder. However, there were only slots for one coin for each state. So I've probably got most of the D mints. I've also been setting aside any State Quarters I've received in change. I plan to go through them later, find the P mints and eventually put the whole lot in an album...I'll probably wait to see if an album comes out that will have holes for all the territory coins too.

I have seven sets going that are up to date. Two are complete (P & D), and five others are not mint-specific -- two in folders and three in tubes. All taken out of circulation. Jan P.S. Of the year-only sets, I used to have one in a folder and the other four in tubes, but then came along another grandchild.

I'm up to date on the P's but I have trouble getting D's here on the east coast. Hopefully when I hit my 50 posts maybe I can get the hook up from some people on here and finish off my set.
