Picked this up recently. Light scratch lower left obverse which I didn't notice until I took the pic. Reverse weaker strike than obverse.

I am thinking VF-30 with an old cleaning possibly market acceptable.

XF40. This is an early O-mint issue known for weak strikes. I think this is a better strike than what would be expect. Stars are sharp. Leaves in reverse are detailed. Nice for the year and mint of issue. Only third year of operation for the O-mint and they had numerous production issues.

VF Details Cleaned at some point and carbon spotting is settling in as a result. I am trying to ascertain if there are die cracks in STA(TES) or not. Any chance to get a better close shot of the reverse?

Agree with a low EF technical grade. That very long but light obverse scratch might be a details problem, but PCGS would let it through, I'd bet, but NGC might detail it. On a half dollar that scratch would be insignificant. On a small coin its more noticeable. If it was cleaned, it was a long time ago and would pass at a TPG I'm sure. After all that, it's still a nice coin, especially for an O mint mark.

EF-45, soft strike but great hair detail, probably market-acceptable.

Noticed that gerry fortin, the preeminent authority on this series has written extensively on varieties of 1841-o dimes here: http://www.seateddimevarieties.com/..._101page.htmHave you been able to identify which variety you have? Seems like some of the transitional varieties are in the tens of thousands of dollars at EF and higher. Here's to hoping you hit the jackpot.
