I pre-ordered the Animal Moonlight Cougar coin from TCS and got 5% off, that is the only NCLT I'm getting this month.

Mario and Lynda already listed the coin at their ebay stores. While Lynda sells it for issue (CAD 189) - such honest way, Mario already upped the price to CAD 204. "Mint Sold 4000 Out" ......

Quote: "Mint Sold 4000 Out" ...... Mint Sold Out of their allotment, which was probably a couple of hundred and guess who's got most of them and who'll be selling them on the shopping channel soon.

I agree with this. But in the ebay listing appears exactly that phrase

I had a real curiosity and pleasure to read first 100 pages of the other forum . The interesting part, that majority of RCM coins have been quoted between the members about possible popularity. 5 years passed - so many changes...... People spoke about, clarified where, how and how many to get the coins, that nowdays no one care and interested in them. Whant to buy some Titanic, Go7, Gitd Dyno or Perth Mint Shark? Think about it, when you planning to buy your next "must have" coin.

Silveroid I have to agree with you, but you didn't need a crystal ball to see that coming. Back in 2010, I nearly missed the 1935-2010 silver set... the hype was well established that this set would go through the roof...I found one on ebay for $10 over list, + shipping, and in the mean time my rep also found one. (I wasn't buying to resell... my father was born in 1935, and I figured that this would be a great 75th BD present)...so I ended up with two of them. Dad still has his, as do I have mine. But the point is, at that time, I was mad that my mail had only just arrived advertising that this set existed... but it had already been sold out to speculators (a nice word for flippers) - instead of getting it into the hands of collectors. This 'hobby' has been a predictable train wreck ever since... as it was for some years before that.

So proud of myself this month. Only bought the GITD animals in the moonlight subscription from RCM. I am waiting for a really good coin before using my redemption code by March 31, 2017. By the way, the redemption code cannot be used on subscriptions

You more experienced For me this understanding came only when I felt, that can't and don't want to buy everything what I like...somewhere in mid of 2014. Congrats, New1954, for limiting yourself in the choice. I just ordered (via PO) the $10 Maple Leaf - only and only. With the time will buy the Uncirculated set, just need to see more RCM offers for the sets.

Just to answer some questions about the coin card pic I posted. - Yes it is an RCM issued item. It is not a January release. Don't know when it will be available - It does not fold. It has a piece that folds out from the back so that it can stand up - like a picture frame. It is not a store display, it is a collector card display. - There are spaces for two toonies and two quarters of the new design because there will be two of each issued for circulation; one coloured and one not. - The card comes with the coins uncirculated, not empty for you to find the coins in change circulated. - It was a mock up done before the new designs were announced, hence the question marks. That's all I have on this one.

I bought the GITD cougar coin. That's it for me this month.
I like the $10 Maple Leaves coin, but will wait for a price drop on that one.

As would be expected of me, I purchased the commemorative silver dollar.
I also decided to pick up one of the $10 1/2 ounce Maple Leaves coin.
I think the Timeless Icons piedfort coin could be the "sleeper" in this release. There's just something about its blending of traditional and modern designs that I think is going to appeal to lots of collectors as they become aware of it. I didn't buy one as it's not what I collect, but I think the coin has a chance at becoming popular.

Yes, the drop is insignificant, and I almost bought one too. However, I'm jaded after seeing so many coins drop in value after only a couple of months. It's the principle with me now, whether it's a $5 or $50 reduction. I bought the 2oz GITD coin because I really like them and they have been holding their value, especially the 2016 Northern Lights coin.
