1978 D Washington Quarter Error

I was going through some quarters and came across the 1978 D quarter that may be an error. Under the D mint mark it looks like it could be another stamp or a die Crack maybe. I'm not sure, but it's something there.

Looks like the post that would form the center of the mint mark has broken off the die, leaving an unformed area in the center of the mint mark. The anomaly at bottom, is it raised or is it level with just a dark line there? It is not large enough to be a RPM. I don't see any RPMs listed for that year on the CONECA listings.

Hi, I contact you from Italy because I have a quarter of a dollar of 1978 identical to that of Jimmy1972. which was discussed in this post . Could you please tell me what value it can have?

The broken post issue has no premium. It is a die event. Just face value. Knowing what it is is the knowledge you can take away.
