1978 D Washington Quarter Error - Coin Community Forum

Under the D mint mark it looks like it could be another stamp or a die Crack maybe. I'm not sure, but it's something there. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/05/2017 11:07 am Looks like the post that would form the center of the mint mark has broken off the die, leaving an unformed area in the center of the mint mark. The anomaly at bottom, is it raised or is it level with just a dark line there? It is not large enough to be a RPM. I don't see any RPMs listed for that year on the CONECA listings.
