Hello everyone. Names Ed. I pretty much wanted to know what my chance on finding anything was so, I got fifty dollars in pennies, twenty dollars in nickels and, twenty dollars in Dimes. At first, I only wanted to see the odds however, I think I found an addiction. I was rather surprised as well as excited with my finds today. They may be small to all of you collectors but, we all start somewhere. I can't wait to find more to add and build an impressive collection. I just wanted to say hi and, show all of you my finds. Hopefully, it will help me meet some of you and, I can learn from your knowledge and experience. Thank you for reading. Ed. Well.... I can't figure out how to post the pictures. I apologise and I will try tomorrow. Edited by Big Daddy Coin 03/22/2017 5:01 pm

Big Daddy! As yakimaboy pointed out, there's a button at the top for tutorials including uploading pics. I look forward to seeing your finds and offering any advice I can (still learning and always will be). Considering what could be in there, $50 in pennies would keep me busy for a good while!

Were these unsearched rolls, or did you get them from the bank?

I hardly ever go into a bank anymore and I haven't had a checking account in years. When I had video games in the 1980's I had to roll my own coins or the banks wouldn't take them. I have been told that now the banks want to roll the quarters and won't accept customer rolled coins? Can I go into a bank and buy rolled coins that are from circulation and not just mint coins? I guess I am out of touch on where I can find coins to search through.

I havent tried getting rolls from banks myself. But I did research obtaining dollar and half dollar rolls, in an effort to find silver. Some people seemed to say that in order to get large quantities some banks require a business account.

One other question, why doesn't my post count change, I still have zero?

We only have two banks in town and I am sure they would show me the door if I went in asking for rolled coins just so I could look through them and bring them back.

to the Forum! As an Englishman, I've never had a bank account in the UK. However, I've never had a problem with getting rolls of quarters from American banks, and have even managed to get halves sometimes. I also once exchanged about $3 in pennies (which I'd rolled myself in homemade wrappers) for dollar bills with no questions asked! (The pennies had been accumulated over the years from various cheap coin lots and from friends giving me their foreign change).
