Your lights playing tricks on LIBERTY rather badly, I'm not at my computer to circle what I think is confusing you, so I'll try describing it. First, note that all devices(letters & numbers) are their normal usual size, width and depth, so it can't be doubling, doubling ALWAYS INCREASES the size. Next, look at the bottoms of the L, B, & E of LIBERTY. Notice the dimpling and uneven upper surfaces, lighting makes them shiny, (because of direction and angle of lighting). This isn't doubling, possibly a bit of grease filled in the cavity, most likely is a result of die wear. These are striking problems, not a error of making the dies to begin with.
