Greetings coin collectors!

I find myself in need of your help. I am a pirate re-enactor and I want to get together a bag full of period authentic coins. I don't care if they're real or fake, all I want is the proper time period and moderately inexpensive (I don't see myself paying more than $3 per coin). The time period I'm trying to match is between 1680 and 1715. I am mainly looking for coins from England, France, Holland and Spain, but I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at Portugeuse, Italian, Swedish, or German coins of the time. Does anyone here know of places to buy coins fitting this bill?

What about the Dutch VOC coins? They are getting a little more expensive these days for some reason, and might suit your needs. Just search VOC in the coin section on ebay. Most I have seen still run under $10 each, plus they are originals. Always a positive thing. (from one reenactor to another I would suggest going this route).

The topic has come up before; this thread wasn't too long ago.

The link I posted before is probably the kind of thing you're looking for: bulk repro pirate coins for 40¢ to 50¢ each or so.

Real ones will stretch the budget a little more: a silver Spanish "piece of eight" will probably cost you $100 to $500, depending on condition. A gold Spanish doubloon will probably set you back around $1000 or so.
