I found this in pocket change today. The reverse doubling is very evident and can be dmaeen on the motto, the structure especially at the base, designers initals, one cent and United States of America.

Amazing DDR find! There is no DDO paired with this one so it's just a DDR, a really nice one though!

That is an amazing thing to find in pocket change!
Don't try cleaning it and keep it protected.
That is the big one from that year and brings a nice premium.

Thank you. It has already placed in a protective sleeve. Finally my first DDR. Wasn't sure if the obverse was also because of the eye lid and L in liberty. Thank you for the confirmation on the reverse.

Do you happen to live in the New England area? Most of the 1983 DDR #1s have been found in that region only, from a report I read several years ago.
