We need to get those out of Australia to a real safe spot to avoid an Aussie collector stampede. There could be rioting at the coin shops and civil unrest like we have never seen with all those collectors up in arms over 3, you say THREE only? We U.S. collectors, out of love for Australia, will accept the coins as legal Aussie immigrants, and will provide homes for them. rggoodie and I, along with others, will step forward and volunteer for this project. Go ahead and ship them TOAST!!!

Now if this really did happen wouldn't it have had to been intentional by a mint employee? With the date being on the obverse I can see someone sticking a Mob of Roos die in the machine but with 2005 being a commmemorative $1 year I would think the Mob of Roos dies would have been locked out of the system, so to speak? I sure hope a few more show up so that we can at least dream about getting our paws on one some day?

What? No Mules in Perth? You'll probably find that they all have been secretly squirreled away into someones collection who lives in Perth. (without mentioning names)

Just on the subject of Aussie Mules has anyone seen or even own one of the 2001 KookaMules

For the benefit of other non Aussie collectors, the Kooka Mule came out of the Perth Mint....the reverse is of the 1 oz Silver proof Kookaburra and the obverse is that of a $200 platinum or gold coin.

Just happened to be at the right place at the right time! Will make a fine addition to my Aussie collection, don't you think! Now, if I could just get ALL my Aussie coins in the same price range I would be one happy Knight setting on my trusty steed watching the sun set in the Coin Realm! Smiling with only a smile a true Darksider could understand!
