What do you think about this thaler(?) is it genuine or not quite?I'm having doubts so I decided to open a new topic.I have also attached the one sold last year which is definitely genuine.

@PCT, is it safe to assume that the diameter, thickness, and weight are all correct on your piece?

Spence It's not my piece. Basically I'm just analyzing the pictures without knowing the weight or diameter.I know it's far from enough in order to have an elaborate opinion, especially with a rare coin like this, but this is all I have unfortunately.

Hmmm. No indication of casting, other than some unusual light strike areas.

I guess I would have a hard time believing this never got clipped when the planchet is so much larger than the dies.

Hi paulCT!

Sorry to revive the thread with an unrelated question.

I would like to update the content of Numista with a photo of this coin:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces122853.html

So if you own the rights to the second picture, would you give permission for it to be used on Numista? Otherwise, could you help me track down the owner please?

Thanks!

Andrei
