Well, the weather was not very spring-like but I had a great time at Nuphilex. It was nice being able to hunt around the bourse floor and chat at will, without being stuck behind a table. I ate at the Brazilian Rodizo restaurant in the city - best I have ever been to! I did not run into any CCF members there...

I chatted at length with a new numismatic author, who was taking orders on an Elizabeth 1-cent error book (1953-2012). I have been helping out this author a bit and it was a pleasure to meet him.

I picked up lots of cool stuff, which I will be sharing in this thread. Some errors, some cherry picks and some cool stuff...

There was a table full of coin books there, and when I picked up this one, I could not put it down. It even had the bid sheets inside. Beautiful job on the auction catalogue, with extensive histories and information on many of the coins.

That is a classic auction catalog, done by QDB himself. I refer to it often.

Picked this little cherry too, probably could use a little TLC with a hawthorn, but otherwise, a nice problem-free 1881H Micro D, F-15 or so...

Very nice 'Micro D' ... did you buy it labeled as a micro D or find it as a 1881?

Wow ... what a tough grader. I'd say VF-20 easy and PCGS might well up the 20 a bit.

KHatt - it was a cherry pick... the D was full of “Vicky crud”, but I could see the serifs poking outside the large D.

The 1881H Micro D - common enough in low grades, but I find that it's quite difficult in the higher grades...

This is a nice VF example...excellent cherry pick...

I finally got some time to take a few more pictures of a couple more interesting coins I picked up at Nuphilex. This one is a 1980 cent struck on a Type 1 blank (the dealer was selling it as a broadstrike).
