Working on Whitman Large Cent date set album 1793-1857 (57 holes filled of 64 total) now come the "toughies" - yikes!

Yeah will I thought that too. Doesn’t look like your average die chip/break that’s for sure. Looks like layers of metal.

Possibly an RIDB because you can still see the shape of the 7? Just normal wear and tear distorted it a bit is my guess. Cool find!
