Pretty untutored on error coins but I found this guy yesterday. How common are these type errors no Way?

Since the date and mint mark are evident, it's better than not. It's enough off center to be desirable. It's certainly a keeper, but it is only modestly scarce.

First welcome to CCF. Second, very nice coin that you have there. Far enough off center to be interesting and worth protecting in a 2x2.

Well it is a nice find - maybe common to buy them offset like yours but to find one (in change,roll?) doesn't happen very often.

And
My biggest fear is that when I die my wife will sell all my coins for what I told her I paid for them.

Working on Whitman Large Cent date set album 1793-1857 (57 holes filled of 64 total) now come the "toughies" - yikes!
