Your getting a good start you might want to check for other things as well. There are doubled dies on both years. You mentioned one. The 1982-D Small date copper cent. We refer to them by name not weight. (Zinc 2.5g Steel 2.67g and Copper 3.11g) You might check out coppercoins.com for RPM (Re-Punched-Mint marks) and doubled dies on cent coins.
http://www.coppercoins.com/index.php (home page) There is a search there to find years/mint marks/varieties
1982/1983-Pennies-All-Varieties
1982/1983-Pennies-All-Varieties

Other cents and other variety coins can be found in Variety Vista for all coins.

Or another site for many varieties:

These are the resources we often use. You can doe a search for interesting threads on this link that I've post information with a lot of images at different times:
CoopHome (click on this and it will take you to a page of topics and on the second page there is an update link of subjects also covered. So between the suggestions, you will find a lot if information. There is usually someone one here most the time. Enjoy

Here are the normal ones:

1982 3.1g Large Date
1982 2.5g Large Date
1982 3.1g Small Date
1982 2.5g Small Date
1982-D 3.1g Large Date
1982-D 2.5g Large Date
1982-D 2.5g Small Date
All 1983 cents should be 2.5g, there are no date variations.

Rare ones:

1982-D 3.1g Small Date
1983 3.1g
These were not meant to be made, they are transitional errors.
