Thanks Ron!
I don't know if my memory serves me well but I seem to remember you have a Sahasa Malla and I think its a slight legend variant to mine?

Very nice! I have several Rajaraja and one of the Ceylon types; can't remember which one. It is an interesting set, which can be extended quite a bit if you include gold and silver

Many thanks for the post. It's hard to attribute these coins accurately, and you've made it much easier.

Thanks everyone...
Knowing how the rulers name is written can really help when searching and saves you money!
The three slightly more difficult and always more expensive rulers Dharmasoka, Vijaya bahu, and Bhuvanaika I picked up for $9 a piece as they were completely misattributed...
Something I've been working on are the legend variants, where slightly different characters are used and can change the value of the coin dramatically!
As Steve said gold and silver options are there but they empty your pocket quicker...Paul

Paul, I'm looking at the last two you mentioned but they are $50 each. I think that's a bit high. Ant thoughts?

Hi Ron, yes I agree! One at 50 and the other 45....They have got nice detail but seem expensive?...But they are the rarer rulers... Is the seller flexible? There's an English guy selling 2 at the moment on ebay at 80 euros plus! Never bought from him but one of them is really nice.He accepts offers, maybe try a really really low one? https://www.ebay.es/itm/ONE-MASSA-1...AAAOSwLa9UYTAlso a guy on your land mass at $33 but a lot rougher.... Don't really know your budget or requirements but hope these help..Paul https://www.ebay.es/itm/Sri-Lanka-1...AOSwgSFae4II

Thanks Paul, If I buy them I'll probably go with the ones on Vcoins. Still undecided though.

Slight legend variant on a Sahasa Malla coin...Just picked this one up to go with my original...much rarer..2nd variant..Codrington references 4 different legend variants of this coin.. Below you can see the SA has a T tag under 1st horizontal line-The HA is fuller with a tail on the bottom horizontal line-And there´s only a single LA Paul

I don't know enough about these coins to be about to tell the difference in the legends. Thanks for pointing that out and for the information about the sale on MAshops, they have some nice examples that I'm interested in.

Hi Baltas.... You've got yourself a really rare coin there! This ruler is hard to find and usually expensive... Would you mind if I asked how much you paid? Nissanaka Malla (1187-1196) AE Massa. Congratulations and thanks for sharing...Paul https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=128213 EDIT...Could you post a photo of the reverse too?

Thank you! The price of the coin was 1877 HUF (around 6 USD). The seller did not know what is this. The name of the auction was: "Unidentified copper coin". I will upload better pictures, when the coin will arriwe.
